The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rode further on Tuesday boosted by strong capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities rode further on Tuesday boosted by strong capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by another 46 points to 1113 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
